"New" Collectors Club
Gartlan USA's Collectors' League, like the company itself, focused exclusively
on sports collectibles until 1996 when The "New" Collectors' League
began issuing commemoratives featuring unique and rare items from the entertainment
industry.
The first in the entertainment series featured an 8 1/8" collectors'
plate of the world's most famous drummer, Ringo Starr. A Bath Silver figurine
of the famed Beatle crossing Abbey Road was offered as the members only
piece following the introduction of the collectors' plate. Both items were
limited to a worldwide edition of 1,000 pieces and are sold out.
The
next year, 1997 subscribing members got a free collector's plate featuring
renowned Grateful Dead band leader Jerry Garcia. The 1998-99 Collector's
League members received John Lennon's Self-Portrait plate, which proved
to be a huge success.
This year, Collector's League members will receive Gartlan USA's Yellow
Submarine "Pepperland" 8 1/8" Collector Plate. The plate
is banded in 24-karat gold and numbered to its 1,000 worldwide edition limit.
This collectors' plate is only available through Gartlan USA's Collectors'
League and is free with a $35.00 membership (plus Shipping & handling).
